Full-Time Proffesor-Researcher, Level in the SNI:C UPIIH - Instituto Politecnico Nacional.
I was born in Pachuca, Hidalgo, I am a Chemist with a Master's Degree in Chemical Sciences and a PhD in Materials Sciences. Actually I am researcher at the UPIH-Instituto Politécnico Nacional, where I collaborate in an interdisciplinary way in technological and educational projects that involve the use of emerging technologies (virtual reality, augmented reality, software development and applications in automotive engineering systems and sciences basic Key words: Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Materials Sciences, Catalysis, Metallurgy, Chemistry and Educational Technology.
In the STEM areas the lag of women is very evident, I'm working in a engineering school and this sadly occurs. I can make a difference by being trained to work width female students seeking to excel in areas of engineering and basic sciences as their mentor. As a stdudent, I did not have this support and it would definetily have made a difference to have such support in all areas, it would have saved me time when making important decisions about my professional training
The opportunity to be trainer as a Science Mentor by Innova Consultancy with the support and funding of the British Council allowed me to expand my networks and start projects with very successful women sho participated in this program. We build friendships and support networks, share academic and proffesional information, and look at how to share this information with our members and students
It help young proffesionals exploit their abilities to visualize and apply different methodologies that allow them to achieve their personal and professional goals Sometimes, we just need a little puch and have self-confidence to achieve it, organize ourselves bether and get down to work with small objectives that are being achieved by little.

Because I'm studying my PhD I was looking for a person that help me to get thru it, it is know that not to many women are involve in IT research so it was hard for me to find encouragement or simply a model role to pursuit, so when I found out about the mentee program, I was happy to be part of it
First, I found a trend a college and a aspirational role in my mentor, she is an amazing woman that helped and still helps me to be resent and to find new ways of be productive as a researcher as the IT field, of course she guide me in some specific point in my doctorate project too.
It is amazing how much a woman, as a mentor role, makes the difference in a career path of another woman even I have been helped for others professional people in the feld (T) was so fluid the way we both connected and how much my mentor has share with me, as practical or relevant information for my research, that even now has been really important to maintain myself focus and working at my goals so, highly recommend to give young women researchers the opportunity to themselves to grow with wonderful guidance
